2013 Event Team Building Weekend a Winner
A team-building weekend for Coordinators and members was recently held at the 2013 AGM Event site, the Maryborough Showgrounds. Approximately fifty people attended and everyone agreed it was a resounding success.

During the weekend, each team worked on mapping out their area’s resource requirements and deciding the amount of volunteers they will require. Several exercises were completed with members making the most of a rare opportunity to meet with other teams, determine responsibilities and check the buildings and areas in which they’ll be working during the 2013 event.

Night time lighting tests were conducted throughout the campground, and the site electricians were able to develop and improve their plans to supply the whole event with mains power. This means of course, that there will be no noisy generators during the event!
The social aspects of the weekend were also a winner with people enjoying community dining while chatting about the various teams, tasks & interactions that will bring this huge event together. Everyone agreed that the weekend had provided them with a much clearer understanding of where they fit into the event management structure, and we're all feeling very confident that you'll have a great time when you come to visit next April.
