Dear Fellow Ulyssian,
We’re hoping to see you at the 2013 AGM Event in Maryborough, Queensland, on the beautiful Fraser Coast.
I’m sure that when you see our main venue, you’ll agree that it’s a beauty! Check-In is on site and there are asphalt roadways, permanent security fences, big pavilions, water points & first class amenities throughout. Our camping area alone is more than 70 acres, and as an added bonus we will have a 70 x 40metre covered ‘Piazza’ which will be rocking all week long with lots of entertainment , raffles, give-aways, food stalls & drink vendors.
Expressions of interest began rolling in from traders while we were still in Mildura, so we can tell you already that there will definitely be an on-site IGA Supamarket, a tyre-fitting shop and a special media centre run by our local newspaper, The Fraser Coast Chronicle.
I’m sure you’d understand that to help an AGM Event this big to run smoothly, it relies on the support of all of us, the Ulysses Club members. This year we’re asking you to have a look through the list before deciding the area you’d like to help out with. Hopefully, the list will go some way towards explaining the many components that make up an AGM Event, and you might feel better informed before deciding which boxes you’ll tick on your Volunteer Enrolment Form.
The ‘new look’ Volunteer Enrolment Form has been put together with consideration for all members. That is, it doesn’t matter whether you’re young-at-heart, or unfit, tired and cranky; We do have a job you can do! And the best part? It will only take a few hours of your time to do it. You’ll also notice that you can nominate specific days and shifts, including Set-Up Week on the form.
So, are you one of those members who would be happy to help out, but you’re unsure where volunteers are needed at the next AGM Event? Volunteer jobs listed should give you some idea of the work that ordinary club members like you carry out before, during and even after the event has closed.
Please accept this as an invitation to join our team, lend a hand and reap the rewards by volunteering!
